Create a Radio Profile for Voice
Thisprocedureissimilartotheprocedurein“CreateaRadioProfile”onpage 3‐5,buthas
additionalstepstochangethedeliverytrafficindicationmap(DTIM)intervalto3.
Tocreatearadioprofileforvoiceservice:
1. SelectConfigurationonthetoolbar.
2. IntheOrganizerpanel,expandtheRoamAboutSwitch.
3. ExpandWireless,thenselectRadioProfiles.
4. IntheTaskListpanel,selectRadioProfile.
TheCreateRadioProfileswizardisdisplayed.
5. Enterthenameoftheradioprofile(forexample,RadioProfileVoic),thenclickNextatthe
bottomofthewizard.
6. IfAPsarealreadyconfigured,selecttheradiostomap
totheradioprofile,thenclickMove.
RoamAboutSwitchManagerremovestheradiosfromtheradioprofiletheyareinandplaces
theminthenewprofile.
IfyouhavenotconfiguredtheAPsinRoamAboutSwitchManageryet,noradiosarelisted.
Youcanmaptheradiostothe
radioprofilelater.
7. ClickFinishtosavethechangesandclosethewizard.
ThenewradioprofileappearsintheContentpanel.
8. IfyouareconfiguringvoiceserviceforSpectraLinkdevices,performthefollowingsteps:
a. SelecttheradioprofileintheRadioProfilestableandclickProperties.
b. Clickthe802.11Attributestab.
c. In
theDTIMPeriodbox,changethevalueto3.
d. ClickOK.
Create a Service Profile for Voice
TheVoiceServiceProfilewizardtailorsitsoptionsbasedonthevendoryouselect.Thewizardhas
thefollowingvendoroptions:
•SpectraLink(SVP)
•Avaya
•Vocera
•Other
TheSpectraLink,Avaya,andVoceraoptionsconfigureserviceforproprietaryVoWIPsolutions
fromthesevendors.IfyouareconfiguringVoWIPfordevicesthatusetheWi‐FiMultimedia
(WMM)
standard,oraproprietarysolutionotherthanoneofthelistedvendors,usetheOther
option.
