receivingaconfigurationmessage(bridge“hello”)beforeattemptingtoreconfigure.Alldevice
ports(exceptfordesignatedports)shouldreceiveconfigurationmessagesatregularintervals.
AnyportthatagesoutSTPinformationprovidedinthelast
configurationmessagebecomesthe
designatedportfortheattachedLAN.Ifitisarootport,anewrootportisselectedfromamong
thedeviceportsattachedtothenetwork.
Example
