Preface

Purpose of the Manual

This manual describes how to install and set up the RoamAbout Access Point 2000. It also

includes problem solving, and connector pin assignment information.

Intended Audience

This manual is intended for use by personnel who will install and set up the RoamAbout

Access Point 2000.

installation procedures.

Section Description

Chapter 1 Contains pre-installation information you should know

before you install the RoamAbout Access Point 2000. This

includes the site requirements and specifications.

Chapter 2 Presents detailed step-by-step procedures to select,

configure, and install the correct power, cabling, and wiring

for your Access Point 2000.

Chapter 3 Contains detailed step-by-step procedures to install the

Access Point 2000 and connect a device to the console port.

Appendix A Describes how to upgrade the Access Point 2000 firmware.

It also describes how to reset the Access Point to factory

default settings.
